We are so proud of our Forest Care Team of 17 staff for completing the 42Km Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge from Weymouth to Bridport on 14 May, with a further 5 completing the 10Km Bridport loop! It was an amazing achievement and experience.
The challenge itself was not easy, but we smashed our target raising £5,763 for the Alzheimer’s Society with donations still coming in! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and supported us, our Just Giving page is still open at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/forest-care-team
Jon Huxford, Commercial Manager at Forest Care comments; “A challenging but very rewarding event that I was lucky enough to be part of; and an incredible amount of money raised for such a worthy cause.”
Lindy Stannard, Community Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Society in Surrey & East Sussex comments;
“We are incredibly grateful to Forest Care and the fantastic team that took part in the Jurassic Coast Challenge, raising nearly £6,000 for Alzheimer’s Society. We are all facing an incredible challenge: one person every three minutes develops dementia and there is currently no cure. Alzheimer’s Society is here to change that, and with the support of amazing people like the Forest Care team, we are bringing help and hope to people living with dementia.
