LATER LIFE: Local Favourite, The Greenhouse Restaurant, Re-Opens with a New Chef and Menu

Neighbourhood favourite, The Greenhouse Restaurant in Corsham, has re-opened again following a break over the various lockdowns. It is set to become more popular than ever with a new chef, Adrian Warren, in charge and a brand-new menu.

Adrian has revamped the menu to champion locally sourced produce that is grown onsite at the award winning Wadswick Green retirement village. Set among 25 acres of landscaped grounds, restaurant visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll among the beautiful grounds with mature trees and wildlife ponds.

Prior to joining The Greenhouse, Adrian gained his experience at Marco Pierre White’s Rudloe Park Hotel in Corsham and the National Trust.  Commenting on his new appointment, Adrian says: “I always believe in cooking as fresh and local as possible, and I am excited that this will be a keystone for The Greenhouse. I am very much looking forward to taking the food and dining experience at the restaurant to the next level and I’m excited about the opportunity.”

Menus will take visitors from breakfast through to dinner and everything in between including afternoon tea as well as Sunday roasts. The Greenhouse Coffee Shop is open daily with a range of delicious sandwiches and paninis, homemade soup, cakes and pastries on offer. While the stylish yet relaxed Greenhouse Restaurant is open Wednesday through to Sunday for lunch and dinner.

The contemporary styled restaurant benefits from picturesque surroundings, perfectly viewable from the floor to ceiling widows, or from the outdoor terrace, not forgetting the focal bar which perfectly displays the extensive drink selections on offer.  Visitors will benefit from hearty meal selections such as slow roast tomatoes, with black pudding, potato beignets, pan-fried smoked bacon and a caramelized onion puree to start, grilled pork chop with braised red cabbage, roast carrots, dauphinoise potatoes, apple puree and red wine jus, and vegetarians might like the walnut steamed pudding, with creamy spring green cabbage, truffle and roasted squash puree.
