MARLBOROUGH: Marlborough Literature Festival: 30 September – 3 October 2021

Marlborough LitFest is returning for 2021 from 30th September – 3rd October…

We return with a really varied line up of fiction and non-fiction authors, including our 10th annual Golding Speaker Elif Shafak, as well as Colm Toibin, Gill Hornby, Sathnam Sanghera, Jon McGregor and Jonathan Porritt.  To comply with current government Covid-19 guidelines in September, we are planning to hold a festival with a mix of live and virtual events to reach as wide an audience as possible.

This year’s Marlborough LitFest features a programme of events for all ages including fiction, non-fiction, poetry and the annual Big Town Read – which is ‘Three Hours’ by Rosamund Lupton. Visit Marlborough Library or The White Horse Bookshop in Marlborough for copies of the book. The festival aims to champion new, upcoming writers as well as established names and also encourage a love of reading in children and young people with author talks, competitions and our ongoing community outreach programme. All Marlborough LitFest 2021 events will abide by the Covid-19 guidelines at the time of the festival. The festival’s aim is to reach as many people as possible so that audience members can either attend Covid-safe events in person or watch sessions online. This year, LitFest is partnering with local creative video agency, StreamWorks, to deliver high quality livestreaming to its audience.

The full programme will be available at the end of August and tickets go on sale in early September. For more information, visit www.marlboroughlitfest.org
