LOCAL: Local hospice showcases expertise at International Palliative Care Congress
Prospect Hospice is thrilled to announce its participation in the prestigious International Palliative Care Congress on Thursday 21 March 2024.
This virtual annual event brings together leading palliative and end-of-life care experts from across the globe, and the local charity is honoured to be represented by two members of its team: Dorinda Moffat, motor neurone disease (MND) specialist practitioner and Dr. Sheila Popert, medical director.
Dorinda and Dr. Popert will be featured as key speakers at the conference, attended by over 500 delegates. This recognition highlights their exceptional expertise and Prospect Hospice’s unwavering dedication to advancing palliative care practices.
Despite being a small charity, Prospect Hospice is fuelled by a powerful mission: to ensure everyone has access to exceptional end-of-life care, whenever and wherever they need it, be it within the hospice in Wroughton or in the comfort of their own homes. Sharing our knowledge at the International Palliative Care Congress allows us to reach a wider audience, ultimately improving the lives of patients facing palliative and end-of-life challenges.
“We are incredibly proud to have Dorinda Moffat and Dr. Sheila Popert presenting at the International Palliative Care Congress,” said Carolyn Bell, director of patient services. “They are both highly experienced in palliative and end-of-life care and their conference contributions reflect our commitment to excellence and the ongoing advancement of best practices in this critical field.”
