MENDIP: The Waterboys Announce Bath Forum Show!
Pan-Celtic band The Waterboys will bring their freewheeling folk-rock sound to Northeast Somerset this Autumn, with a show at The Forum, Bath…
The Waterboys are headed by multi-instrumentalist Mike Scott, founding and longest standing member of group. The band’s line up also features Memphis keyboard great ‘Brother’ Paul Brown, ace British drummer Ralph Salmins and grooving Irish bass player, Aongus Ralston.
On the circuit for nearly 40 years, starting with their 1980’s ‘big music’ period, The Waterboys blend a mix of Celtic, gospel, country and folk sounds, utilising flutes, electric fiddles, and mandolins to write universally loved hits ‘Fisherman’s Blues’ and ‘The Whole of the Moon’.
Following the release of their 15th album ‘All Souls Hill’ last year, the reach of The Waterboys music has never been greater, with their songs having been performed by artists as varied as Prince, The Killers and U2.
